Tuncer Bakırhan calls for immediate establishment of Monitoring Commission

Tuncer Bakırhan, Co-Chair of the DEM Party, has called for the immediate establishment of a Monitoring Commission within the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Speaking at a party group meeting, Bakırhan emphasized that while a framework law passed with 467 votes—establishing a coordination board and four sub-commissions—the public now requires concrete results rather than words.

Bakırhan addressed the 'Terror-free Turkey' process, advocating for a future where citizens can live freely regardless of identity, language, or belief. He stressed that the Disarmament and Strategic Coordination Board must function effectively to complete the process. Specifically, he stated that the board should begin its work under the coordination of Abdullah Öcalan and urged the government to take serious steps to facilitate the necessary communication and meeting conditions for this responsibility to be met.

Additionally, Bakırhan called for a parliamentary commission to investigate transactions within the capital markets.
