Tunis Chamber of Commerce launches SPEEDUP innovation hub

The Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIT) has announced the creation of the ‘SPEEDUP Tunisia Hub’, an innovation center designed to support Tunisian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups in their international expansion.

Scheduled for an official launch in autumn 2026, the hub will be located within the École pratique de Commerce. It operates as part of the Interreg NEXT MED trans-Mediterranean cooperation program, which includes a budget of 315,300 euros for a 36-month period spanning 2025 to 2028. The initiative aims to connect Tunisian businesses to a network of seven partner countries, facilitating international networking, business alliances, and access to global expertise.

The center will provide multidimensional assistance, including consulting, training, and guidance on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria to help businesses meet international standards and attract foreign funding. While the hub plans to host between 15 and 25 beneficiaries in person for close mentorship, its services and training modules will also be accessible remotely to reach a wider range of entrepreneurs across the country.
