Tunis hosts international jazz and choral music events
The Théâtre de l’Opéra de Tunis is hosting a series of international musical events aimed at fostering cultural dialogue.
On October 15 and 16, the “TUNIS Meets NEW YORK” jazz event will take place at the Cité de la Culture. The program includes a concert featuring Tunisian musicians Yacine Boularès and Omar El Ouaer performing alongside the New York-based VEN Trio, which consists of Vinicius Gomes, Ele Howell, and Noah Garabedian. Following the concert, the VEN Trio will lead a free masterclass for students and young musicians focusing on improvisation, rhythmic techniques, and the international jazz professional circuit.
Additionally, on October 25, the “Au cœur des chœurs” concert will be held at the Tunis Opera House. Produced by the Fondation Hasdrubal for Culture and the Arts Mohamed Amouri, the event brings together Tunisian and Monégasque artists. The performance will feature the Salammbô Tunisian Choir, tenor Hassen Doss, and the Petits Chanteurs de Monaco to explore the intersection of European, Tunisian, and Oriental choral traditions.
