Tunisair revenues rise to 724 million dinars in H1 2026

Tunisair reported that transport revenues rose by 2.2% to 724 million dinars during the first half of 2026. Despite the revenue increase, the airline saw a 1% decrease in the number of passengers carried compared to the same period in 2025, a decline attributed to conflict in the Gulf region.

The airline faced a sharp rise in fuel expenses due to surging Brent crude oil prices and a widening crack spread. In the second quarter of 2026, the average price per ton of Jet A-1 aviation kerosene nearly doubled.

Other operational metrics showed mixed results: the load factor improved to 67.0% from 63.6% in the previous year, and punctuality rose from 42.0% to 47.0%. However, the average revenue per passenger declined to 605 dinars, and the company's indebtedness increased following the acquisition of new loans in late 2025 and early 2026.
