Tunisia and Benin advance administrative modernization efforts

Tunisia is finalizing a digital platform designed to facilitate instantaneous and automated data exchange between public agencies. This initiative aims to prevent citizens from having to provide documents or information that are already held by or accessible to public institutions. The project, supported by existing decrees from 2020, also includes the development of a national platform for administrative procedures to serve as a single access point, intended to simplify processes and reduce costs.

In Benin, the government has launched the National Prize for Administrative Simplification. This presidential initiative seeks to modernize public services by rewarding innovative ideas that reduce processing times, travel requirements, and administrative costs. The prize targets public officials, citizens, and socio-economic actors, focusing on digitalization, automation, and information sharing. The initiative is part of a broader goal to achieve 100% online administrative procedures by 2030.
