Tunisia and China aim to boost SME investment through CAD Fund

The Tunisian embassy in Beijing hosted a meeting on 14 July with representatives of the China‑Africa Development Fund (CAD Fund) to accelerate Chinese investment in Tunisia. Officials discussed ways to make cooperation more operational, with a focus on financial and technical support for Tunisian small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) in priority sectors.

The talks also reviewed the CAD Fund’s participation in the Tunisia Investment Forum held in late June 2026 and explored how Chinese companies could partner with Tunisian firms, providing new financing sources and industrial‑technological links. The initiative seeks to attract higher‑value foreign direct investment and integrate Tunisian SMEs into international value chains.
