Tunisia and China expand cooperation in education, AI, and media

Tunisia and China are expanding bilateral cooperation across several sectors, including education, digital technology, and media. Tunisian Minister of Education Noureddine Nouri and Chinese Ambassador Wan Li recently met to discuss enhancing linguistic exchanges, specifically focusing on increasing the presence of Chinese language programs in Tunisian high schools and improving Arabic language instruction in China.

The discussions also highlighted potential collaboration in artificial intelligence and digital transformation to improve educational quality, with a specific interest in supporting students with special needs.

In the media sector, Radio Tunis Chaîne Internationale (RTCI) has introduced Chinese language programming, marking a new step in audiovisual cooperation. This development follows previous diplomatic efforts to strengthen media partnerships between the two nations, building on momentum from high-level visits and existing agreements within the African Broadcasting Union framework.
