Tunisia and Iraq pledge stronger economic and diplomatic cooperation

Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti met Iraqi Vice‑Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein in Amman. The two officials reviewed upcoming bilateral meetings and agreed to deepen cooperation in key sectors such as economy, trade, investment, health, agriculture, tourism, transport and culture. They stressed the need for continuous coordination in response to rapid regional security and political developments and reaffirmed the historic and fraternal ties between the two nations.

Both ministers also reiterated their unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and called for intensified Arab and international efforts to protect Jerusalem’s historic and legal status and its Muslim and Christian holy sites.
