Tunisia and Mauritania discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation

Mohamed Ben Ayed, the Secretary of State to the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, met with the Mauritanian Ambassador to Tunisia, Mohamed Al-Hassan Boukhris, in Tunis.

The meeting focused on strengthening fraternal relations and bilateral cooperation between Tunisia and Mauritania. Ben Ayed emphasized the importance of preparing for upcoming bilateral milestones and resolving pending issues in various cooperation sectors to create new partnership opportunities based on mutual benefit.

Both parties discussed the necessity of continued political consultation through existing frameworks and the importance of enhanced bilateral coordination within regional and United Nations structures. Ambassador Boukhris expressed Mauritania's commitment to diversifying its partnership with Tunisia to better reflect the human and economic potential of both nations.
