Tunisia and South Korea sign automotive and technology partnership

Tunisia and South Korea have strengthened industrial cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Tunisian Automotive Association (TAA) and the Korea Auto Parts Association (KAPA). The agreement aims to foster industrial partnerships, innovation, and the transfer of expertise within the automotive and technology sectors.

The partnership was formalized during a South Korean business mission held in Tunisia from October 11 to 14, 2026. The delegation included 20 participants representing 12 companies and innovation hubs, including representatives from South Korean innovation poles in Gunsan, Cheonan-Asan, Cheongju, and Gumi. The mission included B2B meetings and presentations of the industrial ecosystems of both nations.

As part of the mission, the South Korean delegation visited the technological ecosystem in Sousse, visiting institutions such as Novation City, ENOVA Robotics, the National School of Engineers of Sousse (ENISo), and the Center for Research in Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (CRMN). The discussions highlighted Tunisian capabilities in engineering, robotics, and microelectronics, seeking to expand collaboration beyond traditional component manufacturing into advanced research and development.
