Tunisia Boosts Infrastructure Resilience and Automotive Software Innovation

The Tunisian Roads Association organized a day on infrastructure safety, bringing together engineers, academics and sector managers to examine geotechnical risks such as landslides, runoff and extreme precipitation. Participants discussed protection techniques for road and rail structures and stressed the need for an integrated approach that combines technical expertise, continuous monitoring and climate‑change adaptation to strengthen the durability of transport networks. The event was supported by the Minister of Equipment and Habitat.

During the fourth Industry Innovation Day, AHK General Director Jörn Bousselmi highlighted the rapid transformation of Tunisia’s automotive sector toward electrification, digitalisation and sustainability. He argued that software is now central to mobility and that Tunisia’s strong engineering talent and links with German companies position it as a hub for automotive R&D, including artificial‑intelligence and software development centres, aimed at keeping production and research locally.
