Tunisia launches Khedamet mobile app for digital public services

Tunisia's Ministry of Communication Technologies has announced that the Khedamet mobile application is now available on the iOS App Store, following its initial release for Android users in late August. The platform is designed to centralize various public services, allowing citizens to complete administrative procedures remotely and reducing the need for physical travel to government offices.

Access to the platform is secured through the Tunisian digital identity system, E-Houwiya. Through the app, users can update personal data, track the progress of administrative requests, and manage civil status documents.

Specific features include automotive services such as checking driver's license and vehicle registration details, monitoring traffic violations, paying circulation taxes, and scheduling technical inspections. Additionally, the app provides access to social security and health services via the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) and the National Social Security Fund (CNSS), alongside electronic payment options for various taxes and fees.
