Tunisia launches specialist worker training with Italy and renewable‑energy pact for highways
Italy and Tunisia have agreed to cooperate on training specialised workers directly in Tunisia for placement in Italian firms. A conference in Naples outlined a model where Italian companies specify required skills, after which Tunisian candidates receive technical, linguistic and civic education before entering regular migration channels.
Separately, Tunisia’s National Energy Control Agency (ANME) signed a partnership with the Tunisian Highway Company to integrate renewable‑energy solutions into the country’s motorway network. The agreement aims to improve energy efficiency, cut emissions and foster solar and wind projects, creating new jobs in the renewable‑energy sector.
