Tunisia reaffirms Palestinian support at OIC summit in Jeddah

Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nefati participated in the 23rd extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The session focused on developments regarding the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem.

During the proceedings, Nefati reaffirmed Tunisia’s principled stance on the Palestinian issue, supporting the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. He called for international protection for Palestinians, the lifting of the blockade, and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid. Additionally, he emphasized the need to preserve the Arab and Islamic identity of Jerusalem and rejected unilateral actions aimed at changing its legal or historical status.
