Tunisia to hold joint parliamentary hearings on 2027 economic budget

The finance and budget commissions of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People (ARP) and the National Council of Regions and Districts (CNRD) will hold a joint hearing on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The session will feature the Minister of Economy and Planning to discuss the 2027 economic budget project.

This hearing is part of a broader examination of the 2027 economic budget and the finance law. A subsequent joint hearing with the Minister of Finance is also planned for next week, with the exact date to be confirmed.

During a preparatory meeting held on October 21, deputies emphasized the need for a thorough analysis of economic indicators and a joint evaluation of the 2026 budget execution. Concerns were raised regarding supply difficulties experienced during the current year, particularly during the summer season, as well as delays in publishing implementing decrees for certain provisions of the 2026 finance law.
