Tunisia to host national theater and digital arts festivals in 2026
Tunisia will host two significant cultural events in late 2026, focusing on theater and digital arts. The fourth edition of the Tunisian National Theater Festival, themed ‘New Horizons,’ is scheduled from October 23 to November 7, 2026. Organized by the Tunisian National Theater under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the festival will begin in Kairouan with the ‘Regional Theater Encounters’ before moving to Tunis.
The Tunis program features 14 competing plays at Le 4ème Art and El Teatro spaces, with performances running from October 30 to November 6. The event will also include a scientific colloquium regarding theater training and artificial intelligence, alongside tributes to prominent national figures.
Additionally, the E-Fest Camp, organized by the Echos Electrik association, will take place in Ksar El Ferch, Tataouine, from October 30 to November 1, 2026. This festival focuses on contemporary music and digital cultures, aiming to integrate artistic creation with local heritage and community engagement in southern Tunisia.
