Tunisia tourism revenue reaches $2 billion as of September 2026
Tunisia's tourism sector has seen significant growth, with tourist receipts reaching approximately $2 billion (6,093.3 million dinars) as of September 20, 2026. According to the Central Bank of Tunisia, this represents a 4.7% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
To build on this momentum, the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts is implementing a program to promote regional cultural heritage through a “one region, one product” approach. This initiative aims to transform local assets into competitive tourist experiences and circuits to drive investment and job creation.
In preparation for being named the Arab Tourism Capital 2027, Tunisia is collaborating with the Union of Arab Radio to increase the visibility of its diverse regions. The promotional strategy includes the use of digital platforms, content creators, and artists to showcase the country beyond its traditional coastal resorts.
