Tunisia trains 275 workers for green electricity and electronics jobs

Around 275 Tunisian professionals from the electricity and electronics sectors have begun a specialized training programme under THAMM Plus. The course, funded by Germany and the European Union, focuses on skills needed for the green transition, such as solar photovoltaic technology, carbon‑footprint calculation and energy‑efficiency measures in construction and services.

The training is delivered by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in partnership with the Tunisian Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, the Swiss technical cooperation organisation, the Tunisian Agency for Vocational Training, the National Agency for Employment and Self‑Employment, and the Tunisian Federation of Electricity and Electronics. THAMM Plus builds on the earlier THAMM programme, which supports labour‑migration management and professional mobility for workers from Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt to European countries including Germany, Italy and France, aiming to create secure, legal and fair job opportunities.
