Tunisia weather forecast: transition to storms and rain in September

Tunisia is expected to experience a transition in weather patterns during September. While the month generally offers a balance of summer warmth and milder temperatures, with average daytime highs around 30.2°C and warm sea temperatures near 27°C, significant meteorological changes are forecasted.

Starting September 10, the National Institute of Meteorology (INM) predicts a period of disturbed weather characterized by thunderstorms, hail, and locally heavy rainfall. Precipitation levels could reach between 30 and 50 mm in certain areas. While these rains may provide much-needed relief to soil moisture and dam reserves following dry periods, there are risks of localized damage to crops due to hail and intense runoff.
