Tunisian doctors warn of unsafe online specialty selection

The Tunisian Organization of Young Doctors publicly opposed the Ministry of Health's plan to conduct the specialty‑choice process for candidates admitted to the third‑cycle medical studies via an online platform.

The group said the system lacks necessary technical and procedural safeguards, citing previous platform failures, frequent electricity and internet outages, and the risk of unequal access. It reminded the ministry of a June 17 2026 meeting where the ministry pledged a pre‑test and a “white‑choice” simulation with the organization, which it claims was not carried out. The organization warned that the ministry would bear full responsibility for any technical malfunction, legal, administrative or ethical repercussions.
