Tunisian football updates: Amin Cherni recalled to national team and Adam Alilet joins Espérance

Amin Cherni, the left-back for FC Nantes, has been recalled to the Tunisian national team by new coach Moïne Chaâbani. This marks Cherni's return to the squad after nearly two years, following a period playing in Turkey and for Stade Lavallois. He joins fellow Ligue 2 players Khalil Ayari and Samy Chouchane in the national selection for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers against Uganda and Botswana.

In club news, Espérance Sportive de Tunis has signed Algerian defender Adam Alilet on a free transfer. The 27-year-old center-back has committed to a two-year contract lasting until 2028.
