Tunisian Ligue 2 clubs threaten withdrawal over financial crisis

Eleven clubs in Tunisia's Ligue 2 have threatened to withdraw from the upcoming season due to severe financial and administrative crises. The clubs involved include Stade Gabésien, Avenir Sportif de Gabès, Avenir Sportif de Soliman, Olympique de Médenine, Sporting Moknine, Espoir Sportif de Bouchema, Avenir Sportif de Kasserine, Océan Sportif de Kerkennah, Étoile Sportive de Béni Khalled, and Union Sportive de Ksour Essaf.

According to reports, the clubs are facing significant difficulties, including recruitment bans and a lack of concrete solutions or realistic mechanisms from the Tunisian Football Federation to address their mounting debts. The situation has sparked concerns regarding the broader management of national sports and the absence of updated legislation to govern sports associations.
