Tunisian worker dies of heart attack in Sicilian vineyard

A 55-year-old Tunisian agricultural worker died on Sunday, August 23, while working in a vineyard in the Roccazzo area of Chiaramonte Gulfi, Sicily. The man, a resident of Comiso for over thirty years, was reportedly operating a tractor when he suffered a heart attack shortly after 1:00 PM.

Following the medical emergency, the man fell from the vehicle, which then continued to travel for approximately ten meters without a driver before striking a pole. While the body showed some injuries, authorities believe these were caused by the fall rather than being the primary cause of death. A forensic examination was conducted to confirm the cause of death.

The victim's family discovered him after he failed to return home for lunch. He is survived by three daughters. Zouhaier Amor, president of the Ar-Rahman Islamic Cultural Center, is assisting with the procedures to repatriate the body to Tunisia for funeral services.
