Tunisia's Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti holds talks with business council and Hungarian ambassador

Tunisia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, met with Jaziri Anis, president of the Tunisia Africa Business Council (TABC). The discussion covered outcomes of the FITA2026 conference in Tunis, the signing of 15 partnership agreements, and the launch of three major projects: KIA_MONA_Tex in textiles, Novation City Kinshasa for urban‑tech development, and Technopark RDC for innovation. Nafti was briefed on upcoming initiatives such as the first African Technology and Expertise Expo (ATEX) scheduled for April 2027, a permanent Deal Room to connect investment‑ready African projects with financiers, and the creation of a Tunisia‑Guinea Business Council. The minister also announced a forthcoming consortium focused on technology, IT and artificial intelligence.

In a separate meeting, Nafti received Hungarian ambassador Lajos Mile, who concluded his mission in Tunisia. Both officials highlighted the historic friendship between Tunisia and Hungary since 1956 and pledged to strengthen cooperation across economic, commercial, higher‑education and scientific research domains, as well as to coordinate future bilateral engagements within the EU framework.
