Tunisia's Investment Push Gains ADB Backing and New Digital Platform

The African Development Bank (BAD) voiced strong confidence in Tunisia’s investment prospects during the 22nd Tunisia Investment Forum (June 25‑26, 2026). The bank cited the country’s quality human capital, solid infrastructure, industrial tradition, diversified entrepreneurship, broad financial system and strategic location. BAD noted a 30 % rise in foreign investment in 2025 and placed Tunisia fourth in Africa’s 2025 industrialisation index. In the first four months of 2026, Tunisia attracted 1.3 billion dinars (about $433 million) in foreign investment, a 25 % increase over the same period the previous year.

At the Forum’s second day, the Tunisian government launched a national investor platform, scheduled to operate from 1 July 2026. The digital service links investors with public administrations, uses a unique enterprise identifier and electronic signatures, and integrates with existing specialised platforms. It is intended to streamline administrative procedures, improve the business climate and support Tunisia’s free‑trade agreements with the EU and the African Continental Free Trade Area, which aims for zero tariffs by 2030.
