Tunisia's microfinance lender Enda Tamweel secures 160 million TND syndicated loan as total bank credit reaches 123 bn T

Enda Tamweel, the leading micro‑finance institution in Tunisia, closed a syndicated financing of 160 million Tunisian dinars. The loan was structured by Amen Bank, which acted as lead arranger, and was joined by three other major banks – BIAT, ATB and BTK. The facility is intended to expand micro‑credit to small merchants, farmers, artisans and other underserved entrepreneurs.

Separately, the Central Bank of Tunisia reported that total credit extended to the economy stood at about 123 billion dinars at the end of 2025, a 3.1% increase over the previous year. Growth was driven chiefly by professional loans, particularly short‑term and commercial‑discount facilities, while credit to households slowed, with the share of household borrowing falling to 24.8% of the total.
