Tunisie Autoroutes and ANME sign energy‑efficiency partnership

The National Agency for Energy Management (ANME) and the state‑owned highway operator Tunisie Autoroutes signed a partnership agreement on 13 July 2026 to support Tunisia’s energy‑transition goals. The pact aims to improve energy efficiency, lower the country’s overall carbon footprint and integrate renewable energy across all highway installations.

ANME will provide technical assistance, while Tunisie Autoroutes plans to launch renewable‑energy projects, run joint awareness campaigns for motorists and implement a large‑scale reforestation programme slated for September 2026. The agreement was highlighted by ANME director‑general Nafaa Baccari and Tunisie Autoroutes CEO Ahmed Ezzedine as a model for public‑sector sustainability.
