Tunnel to Towers concludes 9/11 memorial tour in New Jersey

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation concluded its Steel Across America tour, which featured a 16,900-pound steel beam from the World Trade Center South Tower. The tour made 38 stops across the United States to mark the upcoming 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, ending with a final appearance at MetLife Stadium during a New York Giants game.

In conjunction with the memorial efforts, the passing of Army veteran Sean Michael Lee was noted. Lee, a 20-year veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, died following a battle with esophageal cancer. Beyond his military service, Lee was a member of the nonprofit Save Our Allies, assisting with the Afghan withdrawal, and later provided aid in Poland. He was also instrumental in the extraction of Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall after Hall was injured by Russian forces near Kyiv.

Benjamin Hall recently participated in the 10th annual Tunnel to Towers climb at One World Trade Center to raise funds for Gold Star families.
