Tupac Shakur murder suspect faces trial in Las Vegas
A trial has commenced in Las Vegas regarding the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur. Duane ‘Keffe’ Davis, 63, is accused of orchestrating the drive-by shooting that resulted in Shakur’s death.
Shakur was shot four times—in the arm, thigh, and chest—following an incident in Las Vegas. He died six days later, on September 13, 1996, at the age of 25. The fatal wounds caused catastrophic internal bleeding and a collapsed lung.
Mopreme Shakur, the victim’s brother, expressed cautious optimism regarding the legal proceedings. He noted that the family had not heard from the Las Vegas homicide police department in nearly 30 years and stated, “Hopefully, Pac will see a smidgen of justice.”
