Tupac Shakur murder trial documentary commissioned by Sky
Sky Documentaries and the streaming service NOW have commissioned a feature documentary exploring the murder trial and conviction of Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis for the death of rapper Tupac Shakur. Directed by Emmy-nominated Marian Mohamed for Propagate Content and Passion Pictures, the film is slated for a 2027 release.
The documentary will provide an inside look at the recent Las Vegas jury trial, chronicling the proceedings from the first day of evidence through the verdict and sentencing. It aims to feature interviews with Shakur’s family, including his brother Mopreme Shakur, as well as members of his inner circle. The production intends to utilize never-before-seen footage and stills to offer a perspective on the rapper’s life and the legal drama surrounding his death, which occurred 30 years ago.
