Tupy announces major leadership reorganization and board changes

Tupy, the Joinville-based multinational, has announced a major leadership reorganization following the resignation of Board Chairman Jaime Luiz Kalsing. Kalsing cited personal reasons for his departure, though the board intends to appoint him as an external member of the Strategy, Innovation, and Sustainability Committee to retain his expertise.

Gueitiro Matsuo Genso, currently the Vice President of Strategy, New Business, Innovation, and M&A, has been nominated as the successor. His appointment is subject to approval by shareholders during an Extraordinary General Meeting. The restructuring also involves changes to seven other high-level executive positions.

In conjunction with these leadership shifts, Tupy plans to propose reforms to its Bylaws to establish eligibility criteria for board and executive members. These moves follow previous scrutiny from minority shareholders regarding political influence and operational experience within the company's leadership, particularly concerning ties to BNDES.
