Turan Rahvancıoğlu pledges new middle school for Lapta-Alsancak-Çamlıbel

Turan Rahvancıoğlu, the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) candidate for Mayor of Lapta-Alsancak-Çamlıbel, has pledged to construct a modern middle school in the western region by 2027. He cited insufficient school capacity in the area as a primary driver for the project.

According to Rahvancıoğlu, there are approximately 2,583 students in the Lapta-Alsancak-Çamlıbel region, including 325 in preschool, 1,301 in primary school, and 957 in middle and high school. He noted that 275 fifth-grade students will soon require transition to secondary education, making a new facility an unavoidable necessity.

The proposed investment is estimated at a minimum of 600 million TL for the 2027 budget. Rahvancıoğlu stated that the project would utilize a combination of state funds, relevant institutional support, and external resources to ensure the construction of a permanent, safe, and modern school rather than relying on temporary container structures.
