Turano River residents protest water shortages with symbolic concert

In Rocca Sinibalda, Legambiente organized a symbolic violin concert on the dry bed of the Turano River to protest severe water shortages. Residents claim the river has been in a state of near-death for months due to insufficient water releases from the artificial lake dam managed by Enel.

While Enel maintains it is following regional regulations, local citizens and municipal authorities have raised concerns that the lack of flow has turned a 1.5-kilometer stretch of the river into a lifeless path. The event, held to mark World Rivers Day, featured violinist Plamena Krumova performing music by Ennio Morricone to draw attention to the environmental crisis.
