Tureks recognized for sustainability leadership at Marmomac 2026

Tureks has been recognized as a model for sustainability within the natural stone sector at the Marmomac 2026 event held in Verona, Italy. During the ‘Turkish Stone’ panel, the company was highlighted for being the first in Turkey's marble industry to publish a sustainability report compliant with the Turkish Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS).

Presented by Prof. Dr. Atiye Tuğrul, the company's 2025 Sustainability Report, which was released on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) in August 2026, emphasizes transparency and accountability. The report details climate-related risks and opportunities under TSRS 2, noting that Tureks' Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions totaled 6,675.75 tons of CO2e.

As an exporter to over 50 countries, with 95 percent of its revenue derived from exports, Tureks has also completed water stress analyses for its production facilities and quarries. The company is focusing on climate opportunities such as solar energy (GES), energy independence, and access to green finance.
