Turen Association celebrates 20 years of community work in Podturen
The Turen Association for the Promotion of Quality of Life celebrated its 20th anniversary with a formal program at the Community Center in Podturen. Founded in 2006, the association has focused on cultural, social, and humanitarian activities, including handicrafts, singing, and supporting those in need.
The event was attended by Podturen Mayor Perica Hajdarović and Međimurje County Prefect Matija Posavec. Hajdarović praised the group's humanitarian efforts and their contribution to the local community, while Posavec highlighted their role in preserving Međimurje traditions and culture.
The anniversary program included musical performances by the Turen Association vocal group, Josipa Murković, and Limena glazba Općine Podturen, as well as dance performances by the small dancers of KUD Podturen. The celebration concluded with a theatrical performance titled ‘K Meli i nazaj’ and a communal gathering.
