Turgut Eşme adopts Barış Manço-inspired jewelry style in Eskişehir
Turgut Eşme, a 60-year-old textile exporter based in Eskişehir, has gained local recognition for his distinctive fashion style inspired by the late artist Barış Manço. For approximately 25 to 30 years, Eşme has maintained a daily routine of wearing heavy metal jewelry, including necklaces and rings, that weighs nearly one kilogram.
Eşme, who operates a family textile business that exports products from Istanbul to international markets, spends about 45 minutes each morning preparing his jewelry combinations. He notes that his style, characterized by extensive silver and metal pieces, has become a personal trademark that makes him easily recognizable in shopping centers and public spaces throughout the city.
