Turgutlu Mayor defends infrastructure spending against criticism

Turgutlu Mayor Çetin Akın has issued a sharp response to former council member Mürşit Gedizli regarding criticisms of local infrastructure, roads, and municipal services. Akın defended the administration's performance, stating that approximately 1.2 billion lira has been invested in Turgutlu in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality.

Akın dismissed Gedizli’s claims concerning road repair fees paid to Gediz Elektrik and Telekom, describing the figures mentioned by Gedizli as insignificant when compared to the total scale of municipal investments. The Mayor characterized those who fail to recognize the ongoing developments as either ‘blind or malicious’.
