Turhan Çömez alleges 4 billion lira transfer to London via Tera Yatırım
İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez has submitted a parliamentary inquiry to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) regarding alleged financial irregularities involving Tera Yatırım. Çömez claims the company utilized letters of guarantee from various banks, including Ziraat Bankası, by using its own shares as collateral to secure loans through Takasbank.
According to the allegations, these funds were used for fund manipulation, generating billions of liras in profit. Çömez further asserts that 4 billion liras from these operations were transferred to a company located in London. Financial documents cited in the inquiry show that letters of guarantee from Ziraat Bankası increased significantly over several periods in 2025, with total guarantees from various banks reaching over 1.5 billion liras. The investigation also highlights connections to Gildencrest Capital Limited, a company linked to Tera Yatırım partners Emre and Oğuz Tezmen, which has ties to entities in the British Virgin Islands.
