Turin expands unified information services to new districts
The City of Turin is expanding its unified information service model, known as PIÙ (Punto Informativo Unificato), by opening two new service points in Districts 2 and 7 this September. This initiative aims to decentralize public administration services, bringing them closer to residents and tourists within their own neighborhoods.
These new hubs will consolidate various services into a single location, including municipal and district information, citizen relations office (URP) services for complaints and requests, and public transport guidance via the GTT Infopoint. Following the success of the original PIÙ center at Palazzo Civico, which saw monthly users grow from 1,632 in 2024 to 2,242 in 2026, the city plans to extend this model to all districts.
The expansion is supported by a 280,000 euro contribution from Iren, which funded the redevelopment of the new spaces, including new lighting and a standardized graphic layout. Future iterations of the service are expected to include specialized desks for digital facilitation, legal and tax consultancy, and digital identity assistance.
