Turin Police Commissioner issues warning following sexual assault accusation

The Police Commissioner of Turin, Massimo Gambino, has issued an official oral warning to a 42-year-old Bangladeshi man accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a local minimarket. The incident occurred in late August, and the commissioner noted that the suspect's actions demonstrate a clear social danger and a propensity to harm the sexual integrity and freedom of others, causing widespread public alarm.

Following the incident, the suspect, identified as Okicur Ramahan, was released from custody by a judge. However, reports indicate that the suspect has expressed no remorse, stating he did nothing wrong. Senator Paola Ambrogio of Fratelli d'Italia criticized the decision to release him, highlighting concerns regarding the compatibility of certain cultural views expressed by local community members with Italian constitutional values and women's rights.
