Turin ring road accident captured by dashcam highlights driving violations

A traffic accident on the Turin ring road has gained viral attention after being captured by a dashcam, highlighting multiple violations of the Italian Highway Code.

The incident began when a van, traveling in the center lane despite the right lane being completely clear, attempted to take an exit at the last moment. This maneuver caused the driver to swerve sharply and invade the traffic island.

A following vehicle, also traveling in the center lane and failing to maintain a safe following distance, was forced to swerve to avoid the van, leading to a chain reaction. The vehicle filming the event was also positioned in the center lane rather than the rightmost lane, contributing to the sequence of errors that resulted in the collision.
