Turismo Carretera 2000 returns to Toay, starts Play‑Offs in August

The sixth round of the Turismo Carretera 2000 (TC 2000) championship will be held from 7 to 9 August at the Autódromo de Toay, marking the series' return to the venue after a five‑year hiatus. The event will feature a revived two‑session qualifying format (Q1 and Q2) as confirmed by Gabriel Furlán, the category’s sporting and technical advisor. The YPF Elaion Auro Pro Racing team from Lincoln will compete with new 500‑hp SUV cars, expected to reach speeds of up to 270 km/h.

Simultaneously, the season will move into its Play‑Off stage. The Play‑Offs begin on the same weekend in San Nicolás, Buenos Aires, and will comprise four dates ending in November. Driver Humberto Krujoski, racing a Renault Fluence for ACRA Ambrogio Racing, confirmed his participation. Points awarded during the regular season will carry over, with additional bonuses for race victories.

Both the Toay round and the Play‑Off launch are key steps toward deciding the 2026 TC 2000 championship.
