Motorsport events drive economic activity in Argentina and Paraguay
Major motorsport events are driving significant economic and competitive activity in South America. In Paraná, Argentina, the 10th round of the Turismo Carretera and TC Pista championships concluded the regular stage. Juan Martín Trucco dominated the Turismo Carretera event, securing both pole position and victory with his Dodge Challenger. Jonatan Castellano was crowned the winner of the regular stage. In the TC Pista category, Nicanor Santilli Pazos achieved his first victory, while the championship standings were finalized for the upcoming playoffs.
In Paraguay, the upcoming World Rally Championship (WRC) is expected to have a massive economic impact. Hotel occupancy in Encarnación has already reached 95%, with organizers projecting that the event could attract up to 400,000 people and generate approximately USD 200 million in economic movement for the Itapúa department.
