Turismo Carretera heads to Paraná for Regular Stage finale
The Turismo Carretera (TC) racing series is set to hold its 10th round of the 2026 season at the Paraná Autodrome in Entre Ríos on August 22 and 23. This event marks the conclusion of the Regular Stage, determining which drivers will qualify for the Shell V-Power Gold Cup.
Fifty-two drivers are registered for the competition. Jonatan Castellano currently leads the tournament with 266.5 points, holding a 36-point advantage over second-place Agustín Canapino. Both drivers, along with Otto Fritzlery and José Manuel Urcera, have mathematically secured their spots in the playoffs. Juan Pablo Gianinies has also qualified as the winner of the special dates table.
The Paraná circuit has a long history with the TC category, hosting 31 competitions since August 1997. Guillermo Ortelli holds the record for the most victories at the track with five wins. Notable historical milestones include the 1,000th TC race held at the venue in 2003, won by Juan Manuel Silva.
