Turismo Carretera weekend in Posadas sees driver lineup and team split

The 8th round of the 2026 Turismo Carretera championship returned to the Rosamonte circuit in Posadas on Saturday, with the first race starting at 10:55. Mercedes‑Benz driver Otto Fritzler and Ford driver Facundo Ardusso led the grid, followed by a field that included former winners Christian Ledesma, Emiliano Spataro, Nicolás Bonelli and Julián Santero.

Ahead of the event, driver Mauricio Lambiris announced the end of his partnership with preparer Rody Agut, citing a breach of an informal agreement on engine usage. Lambiris will use a motor supplied by Mauricio Candela for the Posadas race and may provide his own engine for future outings, aiming to keep his team competitive.
