TURKA and TÜVTÜRK sign agreement for vehicle inspection takeover

TURKA and TÜVTÜRK have signed a letter of intent to begin negotiations regarding the takeover of existing vehicle inspection stations in Turkey. This transition is scheduled to take effect on August 15, 2027, when TÜVTÜRK is set to hand over its operations.

Halis Ezer, Chairman of the Board of TURKA, stated that the company is working with international partners to identify system improvements and has already begun infrastructure investments. If the negotiations are successful, TURKA plans to transform the existing stations to meet its own high-technology standards, which includes upgrading physical facilities, inspection equipment, and digital systems.

Operating under the Metgün Grup, TURKA aims to leverage international expertise through partners such as the US-based Opus Group, Spain's Itversia Gestin S. L., and Argentina's VTV Norte S. A. The company intends to build a high-capacity, technology-driven inspection network to enhance road safety and service quality across all regions.
