Turkcell CEO Ali Taha Koç re-elected to GSMA Board

Turkcell General Manager Dr. Ali Taha Koç has been re-elected for a second term to the Board of Directors of the GSMA, the global organization representing over 1,000 mobile operators and companies.

Koç will serve on the 26-member board, which consists of senior executives from leading mobile operators, from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2028. The board is responsible for determining the strategic roadmap for the mobile communications sector.

In addition to his board position, Koç serves as the Chair of the GSMA Technology Group. He noted that the industry is undergoing significant transformations in areas such as artificial intelligence, autonomous networks, 5G, 6G, and cybersecurity. He emphasized that his role serves to represent both Turkcell and Turkey's technological expertise on a global scale.
