Turkcell reports Q2 revenue of TRY 71.8 billion and record subscriber growth
Turkcell reported second-quarter revenue of TRY 71.8 billion, marking a 2.5% increase year-over-year. Despite a macroeconomic environment with inflation exceeding 30%, CEO Ali Taha Koç noted the company achieved “real revenue growth” for the eighth consecutive quarter.
Key financial metrics include an EBITDA of TRY 30 billion with a 41.8% margin, and a net income of TRY 5.2 billion. The company maintained its full-year financial guidance while adjusting its year-end inflation assumption to approximately 28%.
In terms of subscriber metrics, Turkcell surpassed 40 million mobile subscribers for the first time. The postpaid base grew to 32.5 million, accounting for 81% of the total mobile customer base. Additionally, the company saw significant expansion in its fiber business, with fiber users now making up 80% of total fixed broadband subscribers. The digital platform TV+ also grew, reaching over 2.7 million total users.
