Turkey 2025 corporate tax list shows financial sector dominance
The 2025 corporate tax records list for Turkey reveals a significant concentration of wealth within the financial sector. Ziraat Bankası has risen to the first position, while Türkiye Vakıflar Bankası has moved up to third place. The list highlights a broad dominance by financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, and investment firms, which overshadow traditional production and retail giants like LC Waikiki, Turkcell, and BİM.
Notably, the list also reflects issues regarding transparency and privacy. Out of the top 100 institutions, 36 requested that their identities not be disclosed. This includes the second-highest taxpayer, whose identity remains unknown to the public. Additionally, major poultry companies such as Şenpiliç and Banvit, which were prominent in the 2024 list, are absent from the 2025 rankings.
Economic analysts suggest that the high profitability of the banking sector is largely driven by the increased financing costs faced by industrialists and consumers.
