Turkish Ministry of Trade updates TTE platform for exporters

The Turkish Ministry of Trade has completed the technical restructuring of the Technical Barriers to Trade (TTE) Web Platform. Operating since 2006, the updated platform is designed to provide exporters with more effective tools to navigate international markets.

Through the platform, exporters can access information regarding product safety regulations and technical barriers in target countries. Users can also request additional information on specific legislations, interactively report technical obstacles encountered—such as issues with labeling, packaging, marking, or quarantine requirements—and provide feedback on draft regulations that may negatively impact Turkish exports. This interactive capability allows businesses to contribute directly to the development of Turkey’s foreign trade position.

The platform is free to use for all individuals and legal entities with internet access. Registered members receive daily email notifications regarding relevant updates based on specific countries and products.

In a related strategic context, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat emphasized the importance of strengthening the logistics sector and digitalizing customs processes. The ministry aims to enhance Turkey’s competitive edge in global supply chains by transitioning toward data-driven customs systems and digital infrastructure to manage risks and facilitate faster trade transitions.
